Abstract

919,949. Colour television. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Sept. 29, 1961 [Sept. 30, 1960], No. 35274/61. Class 40 (3). The resistor R1 is inserted between the video amplifier V2 and the controlled blanking level clamp D1-D4 to prevent loss of " colour burst " during D.C. reinsertion on the back porch of the video signal in an American N.T.S.C. system, the potential at one end of the resistor R1 being maintained equal in amplitude and phase to the potential at the other end of the resistor by means of the cathode follower V 3 and the capacitor C 2 . The time constant R 1 , C 1 is arranged to be short compared to the period of the line frequency and the value of the capacitor C 2 greatly exceeds that of the capacitor C 1 .
