Abstract

918,943. Capacitors. PLESSEY CO. Ltd. Dec. 7, 1961, No. 43883/61. Class 37. In an electrolytic capacitor, the capacitor element 4 (Fig. 2) and electrolyte 12 are placed in an imperforate metal can 1 with aligned pin partners (Fig. 1, not shown) formed to upstand internally and externally of the bottom. The anode lead projects through a closure bung 8 of e.g. injection-moulded polypropylene and an eyelet of the cathode lead 9 is placed over the internal pin which is riveted over at 3a. The external cathode connection 10 is similarly eyeleted and riveted to the external pin at 4a.
