Apparatus for recording scenic information comprises a camera 1, means, for example a rail system, for moving a back-projection screen 3 into and out of a position spaced from and in front of the camera, a projector 4 to project an image on the screen when in said position, lighting means 8 for illuminating a subject 2 positioned in front of the screen and means associated with the screen so that the lighting means and projector are operated in sequence.
