[Also in Group XXIX] Composite closure means for a concentric arrangement of ducts 1, 2 comprises sealing means mounted in each duct and each providing an annular seating 15, 16, a tubular closure member 6, 7 positioned in each duct and adapted to engage a respective one of the annular seatings, the closure members being axially slidable in sealing engagement with the walls of the ducts and means, e.g. piston cylinder devices 10, 11 for sliding the closure members into and out of sealing engagement with the seatings. As shown the member 6 is provided with exterior piston rings 8, but alternatively may be provided with labyrinth or inflatable seals.
