Abstract

1299508 Valves G P TORMENE and O TORMENE 29 Oct 1970 51542/70 Heading F2V A butterfly valve has a closure disc 7 cooperable with a one-piece resilient sealing ring 8 trapped between plates 3, 4 which accommodate bearing sleeves 11, 12 for stub spindles 5, 6. Annular seals 9, 10 integral with the ring 8 are compressed by adjustable plates 13, 14 acting via sleeves 11, 12. Operating handle 15 has a locking pin 16 engageable with socket-head screws 20<SP>1</SP>. The cross-section of ring 8 is alternatively triangular, circular or trapezoidal.
