Abstract

917,514. Cables. SANDERS ASSOCIATES Inc. Nov. 3, 1960, No. 37794/60. Class 36. A screened cable is constructed as a sandwich of three layers of printed circuit conductors, the conducting path of each outer layer crossing the inner conducting path at a plurality of points. Screening conductors 22, and signal conductors 21 are printed on an insulating sheet 23. The backing sheet 23 is then cut along the lines AA, BB and the signal conductors 21 sandwiched between the screen conductors 22, as shown in Fig. 3, adhesion being obtained by heating under pressure, and a top insulating sheet may be added during the laminating process. The screen conductors 22 may be placed at 45 degrees to the signal conductors 21 as in Fig. 1, or at 90 degrees as in Fig. 3, and if desired alternate signal conductors 21 may be earthed and may also be connected to the screens 22.
