917,347. Cross-arms for posts. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S CONSTRUCTION CO. Ltd. May 4, 1959 [May 5, 1958], No. 14273/58. Addition to 745,317. Class 20 (1). A cross-arm for a pole for supporting overhead electric lines comprises two strips 1 (or a tubular part) of resin bonded glass fibre laminate separated by a layer 2, 3, 4 of which the part 4 is balsa wood, or synthetic resin containing rice husks, or an epoxy resin mixed with a polyamide and having transverse apertures, and the parts 2, 3 are of a mixture of an epoxy resin, a polyamide and a filler. Bolt holes 6, 7 accommodate means for supporting an overhead line, and for attaching the cross-arm to a post. Specification 812,414 also is referred to.
