[Also in Group V] A toggle mechanism for simultaneously moving two mould parts 1, 2 in opposite directions comprises thrust members 3 connected to and free to move in the direction of mould part 1 and toggles 4, 5 whose free ends are pivoted respectively to the mould part 2 and to the other ends of the members 3 and whose knees 8 are movable transversely to movement of the mould 1, 2 whereby the mould is opened and closed. The mechanism may be connected by a rod 9 to a cylinder 11 to actuate the toggles. Specification 700,984 is referred to.
