915,898. Abdominal belts. SOLAROTA Ltd. May 18, 1961 [June 30, 1960], No. 22908/60. Class 141. [Also in Group VI] An abdominal belt has hook-like plates 17 attached to its inner surface in positions registering with the front ends of the ilia so that when the belt is tightened the plates exert a backward pull on the ilia. Each plate comprises a curved rigid backing and an inner pad of sponge rubber, foamed plastics &c. and is attached by a tape 18 passing through a slot in the plate. The belt is adjustably fastened at the front by tapes 7 and buckles 6 and is also adjustable in length by means of tapes 10, buckles 11 and lacing 15.
