Abstract

914,366. Ear rings. VAN BERGEN, J. A. W. P. Sept. 23, 1960 [Sept. 24, 1959; Oct. 5, 1959], Nos. 32542/59 and 33708/59. Class 43. An ear ring clip comprises a pair of pivoted angularlyadjustable clip parts and has gripping means for retaining the parts in any one of a plurality of relative angular positions in which they are set. The ear ring has a body portion 14 with a tag 11 secured to an ornamental part 12 and arms 15 with projecting portions 16 which engage in holes in a lug 20 which is gripped by the arms 15. The lug extends from an earengaging portion 21. The gripping arms may extend from the tag 11 or from a body portion with arms 42, and lug portions 41. In further modifications, there may be only one projecting portion to provide a pivot for the ear-engaging portion, or one lug portion with a pivot such as a pin for the bifurcated end of the earengaging portion. The ear-piece may have embossed portions 47.
