Abstract
913,975. Spring mountings. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. April 7, 1961, No. 12594/61. Class 108(3). A resilient suspension arrangement, e.g. for a compressor 1 in a refrigerator housing 4, 6, comprises an apertured holding bracket 3 which is welded to the lower portion 4 of the housing and a tension spring 2 the lower end of which is screwed into a threaded opening in the compressor casing, its upper end, passing through the aperture in the bracket, being engaged by a nut 5 which is screwed down on to the spring by an amount depending upon the effective length of spring required. The nut 5 is finally adjusted with one side surface substantially parallel to a continuation of the inner surfaceof the housing portion 4 before the upper housing portion 6 is welded to the lower portion 4 so that the inner surface of the portion 6 contacts the corresponding side surface of the nut to lock it in position.
