A well fluid comprises an aqueous solution of calcium chloride and zinc chloride having a density of 11 to 17 pounds per gallon. The fluid contains a corrosion inhibitor, and is used to fill the well casing during perforating and servicing, or is used as a packer fluid above the upper packer in a multi-completion well.
