Abstract

Tri-allylic isocyanurates are obtained by reacting a cyanuric acid salt with an allylic halide at elevated temperature in an NN di C1-5 alkyl formamide medium. The salts are obtained from cyanuric acid and inorganic or organic bases. Specified halides are allyl and methallyl chloride and bromide, 1-bromo-butene-2, and 1-chloropentene-2, whilst a temperature of 60 DEG to 150 DEG C. is preferred.
