[Also in Group XIII] A moulded, one-piece flexible guard ring for the opening of a washing-machine drum comprises coaxial, axially-spaced rings 72, 74, 76, Fig. 4, of outwardly-open V-cross-section interconnected by radial ribs 78 each of which has a lug or toe 80 which fits into a corresponding outlet hole 36, Fig. 3 formed in a collar 34 about the drum 26 for the passage of water.
