Abstract

A crystalline polyolefin such as polypropylene, is stabilized with an organic compound <FORM:0912564/IV(a)/1> wherein R is aryl which may be substituted with alkyl, alkoxy or acyl. Specified stabilizers are the 2-, 3- and 4-benzamidophenols. Calcium stearate may be included as an antiacid agent. The compositions, which may be formed with or without the aid of solvents, may be made into filaments, fibres or film. Specification 828,791 is referred to.
