In a fabric for babies' napkins having a single or multi-layer body and single-ply weftwise stripes along which it can be cut by pinking to make napkins that do not need hemming, the counts and twist multiples of the yarns, the threads per inch, and the interlacings per repeat are related by formulae, one pertaining to the body of the fabric and one to the pinking stripes.
