Abstract

907,945. Securing expanding pulley flanges on shafts. VAN DOORNE'S AUTOMOBIELFABRIEK N.V. Jan. 15, 1960 [Jan. 21, 1959], No. 1622/60. Class 80 (2). [Also in Group XXXII] An axially movable flange 5 of an expanding pulley is drivingly connected to a shaft 1 by a dished spring disc 9 having projections 11 engaging in recesses in a plate 8 fast with the flange 5, and being slotted to form radially inwardly directed arms 14 the ends of which engage slots 17 formed in a sleeve 6 which is splined to the shaft 1. A cover plate 7 is secured to the plate 8 by bolts 18 provided with distance tubes 19 which pass through enlarged openings 13 in the ends of the slots in the spring disc 9. The spring 9 biases the adjustable flange into contact with the fixed flange 3.
