Abstract

A process for the preservation of silage comprises adding bacitracin methylene disalicylic acid or an alkali metal salt thereof e.g. the sodium salt to the silage in powder form or in the form of a solution or suspension. A nutrient carbohydrate such as corn or molasses may also be added.
