Abstract

905,550. Rocket propellant charges. HERCULES POWDER CO. Aug. 15, 1951, No. 19302/51. Class 9 (1). A propellant charge has an outer hollow member 11 and an inner member 10 rigidly spaced therefrom, both members being of a combustible explosive and of such dimensions as to make the increase in the burning area of the outer member equal to the decrease in the burning area of the inner member. The outer surfaces may be inhibited by sheet members of cellulose acetate, 12, 13 and 14. Such charges may be prepared by the method disclosed in Specification 888,858 [Group V].
