A container, such as a cardboard carton, has a line of perforations 6, defining an easily removable portion 5 of its wall, closely surrounded, on the side remote from the removable portion 5, by a cut score 7 serving to prevent rupture of the surface of the container beyond the score 7 when the portion 5 is torn away along the perforations 6 to provide an access opening.
