[Also in Group XXXVI] A glass suitable for dielectric purposes consists of 35-55 mol. per cent SiO 2 , 2-25 mol. per cent TiO 2 , 10-15 mol. per cent PbO and an aggregate 15-45 mol. per cent (K 2 O+CaO+ SrO+BaO) the ratio in mol. per cent of each of these last mentioned oxides with respect to each other being from 5/3 to 3/5. A preferred composition contains equimolar quantities of the oxides K 2 O, BaO, CaO, SrO, and the content of PbO is 12 mol. per cent.
