Abstract
904,455. Photographic cameras. AGFA A.G. Dec. 1, 1958 [Dec. 2, 1957], No. 38734/58. Class 98(1). ). A photographic camera comprises a photoelectric exposure meter, a viewfinder, an incident window for a light beam, a mark adjacent the window, means for producing an image of at least part of the mark in the viewfinder: the mark is movable by the meter and by exposure setting means and has recognisable central and marginal portions. In the camera shown, an image of part of a mark 8 adjacent a window 7 is formed in the viewfinder field by a mirror 6 rotatably mounted on the armature 5 of an exposure meter, galvanometer, lenses 8, 1 and prism 10. The image as shown in Fig. 3 is bounded either by the viewfinder field (not shown) or by one face of the prism and this forms a fixed index. The image of the mark 8 may be moved relative to the fixed index either by moving the mark or by rotating the mirror by altering the galvanometer current. In other embodiments the mark is carried on an arm attached to the galvanometer coil and the mirror is movable with respect to a scale indicating the film sensitivity, a prism is placed between the mirror and viewfinder to invert part of the image, the prism 10 is replaced by a half-silvered mirror. As shown in Fig. 1, a rangefinder may be incorporated in the camera.
