Abstract
559,413. Indicating-apparatus. KODAK, Ltd., (Eastman Kodak Co., and Mihalyi, J. Jan. 26, 1943, No. 1309. [Class 106 (iv)] [Also in Groups XX and XL] In a camera of the type in which the exposure is controlled by bringing a pointer coupled with the diaphragm or shutter-setting mechanism into coincidence with an indicator which is moved in relation to a scale by a photo-electric cell, a magnifying lens movable with the pointer is provided to enable the latter to be accurately adjusted. In the form shown, an arm 43 which is moved by the adjustment of the diaphragm carries a pointer 44 and a small lens 42 through which it and the indication 41 produced on the scale by the exposure meter are observed. The indication 41 is produced by reflection from a mirror 34 on the galvanometer spindle of an index line 39 on the front face of a reflecting prism 37, the exit surface of which is formed as a lens which focuses the image on the scale. In another construction, the pointer 44 is separate from, but on the same spindle as, the arm 43 carrying the lens, and is situated behind the scale, while the galvanometer operates a second pointer in front of the scale.
