Abstract

904,309. Vibratory mechanisms. SIMONACCO Ltd. Dec. 6, 1960 [Dec. 18, 1959], No. 43207/59. Class 80 (4). A vibrator of a member such as a screen, sieve, feeder, vibrating table shoot, or bunker comprises a tubular member 3 rotatably mounted on a shaft 1 which is rigidly secured by brackets 2 to the member to be vibrated, the member 3 having an integral driving pulley 7 and out-of-balance mass 6. The axis 8 of the pulley 7 is offset from the axis 9 of the shaft 1 by an amount equal to the amplitude of the vibration, and the static moment of the out-of-balance mass 6 is made equal to the product of the weight of the member to be vibrated and the eccentricity of the pulley 7 relative to the shaft. The member 3 may be mounted on the shaft 1 by bearing bushes 5 or ball or roller bearings may be used. The annular space around the shaft 1 is partially filled with lubricating oil which is circulated through passages 12, 13, 14 by scoops 11.
