Abstract

903,716. Road &c. joint sealing means. COW & CO. Ltd., P. B. Dec. 22, 1959 [Sept. 22, 1958], No. 23565/58. Class 20 (4). Sealing means for adjoining bays in concrete roads &c. comprises a tubular member of mouldable deformable material, at least one longitudinal fin 2, Fig. 1, provided externally on each of two opposite sides of the wall of the tube, which fins are directed upwardly with respect to the horizontal, the tubular member having two or more opposed depending ribs 3 of a length substantially greater than that of the fins 2. The tubular member may be divided by a wall 7, Fig. 3, so that it is in the form of a double tube, and a third rib 8 may be formed as a continuation of the wall 7.
