Abstract
903,690. Camera exposure meters. KAMERAUND KINOWERKE DRESDEN VEB. Nov. 4, 1959, No. 37426/59. Class 98 (1). A photographic camera has exposure factor setting members and includes a photo-electric exposure-measuring device having a pointer which passes over a stop-cam, a lever which explores said pointer and locks it against the cam and which is coupled to an exposure-setting member and a second lever coupled to another exposure member which is movable to affect the needle position. In the embodiment shown, an exposure meter has a pointer 8 which is normally clamped between a spring-urged lever 15 (having a cam surface X and being connected to a camera setting-ring through rod 26), and cams 13, 14. A lever 9 is spring-urged against a rod 33 connected to another setting-ring and is coupled by a spring 7 to the pointer 8. A galvanometer adjusting-screw 12 is provided for the lever 9. When the camera shutter is cocked a lever 18 is urged against lever 15 which is rotated to release pointer 8 which then moves to a position determined by the light intensity. The setting-ring connected to rod 33 is then adjusted which causes lever 9 to move until the tension thus formed in spring 7 moves the pointer 8 to a position between marks 23, 24. When the shutter is released, lever 18 releases lever 15 so that it is rotated by spring 16 together with rod 26 and the other setting-ring until cam surface hits the pointer 8. Differential gearing may be used to allow the film sensitivity or filter factors to be taken into account.
