903,666. Magnetic tests. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. Jan. 26, 1959 [Jan. 24, 1958; Sept. 9, 1958; Sept. 25, 1958], No. 2772/59. Class 37. [Also in Group XXX] A magnetic sensing arrangement for detecting the passage of two relatively movable parts in a conveying, lift or railway system, comprises a magnetic transmitter on one of the relatively movable parts and a receiver including a Hall voltage generator on the other part. A permanent magnet 16 mounted on a moving part influences in passing a magnetic receiver which is mounted adjacent the path of the magnet and comprises a Hall wafer 11 which is positioned in the air gap of a magnetic circuit 12, 13, 14 and 15 and is supplied with central current from a power unit 18. During passage one of the permanent magnet poles (north shown) is always closer to the receiver than the other pole. The output of the Hall wafer acts on a switching amplifier 19, e.g. a transistor flip-flop circuit.
