[Also in Group XXV] A closure device for use in storing fodder comprises a member 5 in which there is formed a channel with a profile of U-shape, in which the arms of the U converge towards the open side of the channel in which channel are disposed a portion of flexible covering sheets 3 for the fodder and a separate resilient flexible inflatable tube 6 which is so arranged that, when inflated, it will force the portion against the inside of the channel, the portion being secured in the channel solely by friction. As shown the sealing member comprises a length of rubber or plastic hosepipe, the ends of which are tied together by a clamp or a piece of string one end being plugged and the other end having a bicycle valve 10 by which the sealing member can be inflated to press a single said sheet 3 against the walls of the channel. The ends of the member 5 when in one part, or the joints between the several parts if it is in more than one part, are connected together by clips and the frame and clips are cemented to the top wall of a silo. A member made of several parts clipped together can be used for storing fodder by using it with said two sheets the edges of both of which are secured in the channel by the resilient member, the fodder being contained between the two sheets.
