Abstract
902,190. Moulding-machines. JOLY, G. June 17, 1960 [July 9, 1959], No. 21326/60. Class 83 (1). A mould-discharging installation comprises a device which lifts a poured mould from the conveyer on which it is travelling and transports it downstream of the conveyer, the device rotating about a vertical axis above the conveyer. The lifting and transporting device comprises four pairs of pivoted arms 9, 9<SP>1</SP>- 12, 12<SP>1</SP> carried by a shaft 2 which may be driven by a motor 1 and engaging a fixed cam 13. A pair mould 3 on conveyer 5 arriving between the arms 12, 12<SP>1</SP> actuates by a photo-electric cell 4, the motor 1, and is lifted by the cam surface 19 and simultaneously rotated through 90 degrees to a position over a discharge table 28, the mould being discharged by the jolt when the arms 12, 12<SP>1</SP> pass the nose 16 of the cam. The next following flash on the conveyer causes the device to rotate through 90 degrees and the discharged flask in the arms 12, 12<SP>1</SP> moves to a downstream position over the conveyer and is deposited thereon by engagement of the arms with the depression 15 in the cam. The stripping may be effected by jacks.
