901,383. Lawn mowers. BAKER, R. K. May, 12, 1961 [March 31, 1960], No. 11322/60. Class 6(2). In a lawn mower having blades 12 mounted on a shaft 13 driven through chain gearing from a motor-driven roller 14, an axle 16, mounted so as to be adjustable vertically and carrying driving wheels 23, supports a roller or cylinder 22 provided with spokes 24 to raise and feed the grass to the blades 12. The spokes may comprise metal rods secured in diametrically disposed bores in the roller so as to project therefrom at each end, or be individually secured to the axle. The axle may be detachable from its wheels 23 and the mower, there being provided a handle having a yoke in which the axle may be rotatably mounted and used as a separate garden tool.
