Abstract

901,345. Cleaning and pickling apparatus. RODWAY & TAYLOR (B'HAM) Ltd. May 11, 1961 [May 25, 1960], No. 18393/60. Class 82 (2). An apparatus for continuously cleaning or pickling small objects comprises a perforated drum 6 which is rotatably mounted at an angle to the horizontal (e.g. 20 degrees) with one end dipping into the treating liquid in tank I containing an Archimedean screw elevation 15 which conveys the feed from the inlet at the bottom of the drum to the outlet at the top. Several of these apparatuses may be used in series and the drum and tank may be suitably lined when a corrosive liquid is being used.
