Abstract

901,011. Radar. PINTSCH ELECTRO G.m.b.H. Oct. 1, 1958 [Oct. 1, 1957], No. 31406/58. Drawings to Specification. Class 40 (7). In a radar apparatus means are provided for displaying signals corresponding to moving targets either with or without signals corresponding to fixed targets. From the received signals are derived a first set of signals having constant amplitude and corresponding to all target echoes, and a second set of signals which correspond to moving targets only. By combining these first and second signals a third set of signals is obtained, consisting of fixed target signals of one amplitude and moving target signals of a second and larger amplitude. The third signals are passed to a variable bottomclipping circuit before being displayed and by varying the clipping level moving targets are displayed with or without fixed targets. Frequency band compression by known means may be used before the signals reach the clipping circuit.
