[Class 40 (v)] Relates to means for reducing " clutter " due to echoes of longer duration than the wanted signals in a pulse radar system in which the echoes are displayed by intensity modulation or as deflections on a cathode-ray tube. According to the invention, the video stage of the receiver contains a C.R. circuit having a time constant which is slightly longer than the duration of the wanted pulses so that relatively long unwanted pulses are differentiated and their effects thereby reduced. The time constant is made variable to deal with interfering pulses of different pulse widths. Specification 582,503 is referred to.
