900,990. Furnace door frames. VORKAUF, H. Dec. 16, 1960 [Aug. 26, 1960], No. 43416/60. Addition to 824,826. Class 51 (2). In a water-cooled door frame for a Siemens Martin open-hearth furnace as disclosed in the parent Specification, water entering through tube 1, 1<SP>1</SP> flows upwardly in the tubes 4, 4<SP>1</SP> nearest the door opening to discharge pipes at the top. As in the above Specification, the lintel comprises a series of tubes arranged in U-shaped formation, the tube row 5 nearest the door opening being at the end of the cooling circuit.
