Abstract

899,008. Swings. BRYANT, S., and COLLETT, E. Dec. 30, 1959 [Dec. 30, 1958], No. 41971/58. Class 132(1) [Also in Group XXV] A swing comprises a frame having two upright assemblies 10 and a top cross-bar 12 to which are attached two ball or roller bearings for the seat suspensions 13, one or other of the races of each bearing carrying a downwardly extending strap 20 which forms an eye to receive the upper end of the respective suspension. Preferably the strap is secured, e.g. by welding, to the outer race 16 and the inner race 15 is secured by means of a spindle bolt 17 to two plates 19 shaped to fit into the inverted V-shaped cross-section of the bar 12 and welded thereto.
