Abstract

An insulating material for applying to an exothermic sleeve (for composition see Group II) surrounding a weld consists of a low density furnace aggregate 55%, paper pulp and wood chippings 40%, asbestos fibre 5%, the whole bound with gum arabic or sulphite lye.
