Abstract

A composition comprises 100 parts by weight of polythene and 5 to 25 parts by weight of an inert filler having an average particle diameter not exceeding 50 . Specified fillers are carbon black, silica, calcium and magnesium carbonates, silicates such as calcium, sodiumaluminium, potassium, aluminium, sodium and magnesium silicates, coated silicates and barium sulphate. The composition may be shaped by extrusion or injection moulding.
