Abstract
897,401. Nickel-plating baths. GAUTIER, J. A. M. A., and PERNIX, GRAUER & WEIL. Jan. 13, 1961 [Feb. 2, 1960], No. 1553/61. Class 41. A nickel-plating bath is improved by adding an acetylenic compound including as substituents one or more of a pyridine nucleus, a benzene nucleus, and a hydrophyllic group, e.g. 1,3 - diphenyl - 1 - (3 - pyridyl) - 2 - propyn- 1-ol. Other optional additions include, saccharine, p-toluene sulphonamide, sodium naphthalene trisulphonate, and benzoic sulphimide.
