897,382. Tube &c. joints. SIDDALL & HILTON Ltd. Dec. 12, 1958 [Dec. 13, 1957], No. 38738/57. Class 99(1). [Also in Group XXV] An annular washer 10 for use between members 16, 18 connected together by a bolt 20 has a groove 12, 14 in each end face to embrace the adjacent member and prevent relative turning movement between the members which may be tubes, bars, rods &c. of square or circular cross-section. The angular disposition of the grooves is dependent on the angle of intersection of the members. For thin-walled tubes, the bolt head and nut may clamp the internal walls of the tubes.
