Abstract

896,762. Resilient mountings. METALASTIK Ltd. Dec. 21, 1960 [Feb. 22, 1960], No. 6223/60. Addition to 706,558. Class 108(3). A resilient mounting of the kind described in the parent Specification is characterized in that the resilient load resisting element 1 is of cruciform shape having a central hub part 1a in which the upper end of the inner conical member 2 is embedded and four radially-extending arms 1b which engage the outer conical member 3 at four angularly spaced regions. The resilient rubber rebound load resisting element 6 has four equiangular spaced slots 6a so that its under face engages the rebound member 7 at a plurality of angularly spaced regions. As shown, the elements 1, 6 are formed in one piece which is bonded to the inner conical member 2. Alternatively the element 1 may be bonded to both of the conical members 2, 3 and the element 6 to the inner conical member 2. The elements 1, 6 may also be separate parts. The inner conical member 2 has a surface 4 to which the element 1 may extend up to the dotted line.
