In fluid-dispensing apparatus adapted to indicate the quantity and cost of fluid dispensed, the fluid meter drives a shaft 68 which through gearing drives a pinion 42 meshing with a further pinion 50 whose movement is transmitted by a spring connection to a pinion 51b driving directly one set and indirectly via transmission gearing (not shown) another set of quantity indicating wheels 70. A braking lever 16 co-operates with a groove on the pinion 50. The meter shaft movement is further transmitted via a gear 46 to a shaft 47 carrying a gear cone 71. For each digit of the unit price a knob 58 is provided adapted to control the setting on the cone 71 of take-off gears (not shown), the movement of which is transmitted via differential gearing 82 to drive a pinion 48 meshing with a pinion 52 analogous to the pinion 50 but adapted to drive total cost indieating wheels 72. The gear cone 71 and associated take-off gears are mounted between plates 75a, 75b, and the whole unit may be placed in operative position in an aperture 67a in the indicator casing.
