894,709. Moulding processes. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. July 21, 1959 [July 28, 1958], No. 24280/58. Addition to 812,352. Class 83 (1). The process claimed in Claim 3 of the parent Specification which is referred to, includes the intermediate step of treating what will be the metal-contacting face of the mould or core with a solution of hydrolysed ethyl silicate prior to subjecting the mould &c. to the ammonia gas so as to solidify by means of the ammonia both the mould &c. and the said silicate solution. The ethyl silicate may be a solution in methylated spirits and the aluminium phosphate in ortho-phosphoric acid. Specification 847,909 also is referred to.
