Abstract
Disodium glutamate is converted to monosodium glutamate by treating a solution of the former with an acrylic acid ion exchange resin. The monosodium glutamate may be recovered from its solution by evaporative crystallization and the ion exchange resin may be recovered and regenerated to the acid form for re-use. Specification 946,902 is referred to.
