Abstract
893,348. Packages; cartons. SCHOLLE CHEMICAL CORPORATION. May 26, 1959, No. 17876/59. Classes 18 and 94(1). Liquids or powders are contained in a polyethylene, cellulose acelate or vinyl multi-ply bag, Fig. 3, having inner and outer plies 10, 12 each sealed independently at 11 and 13 but sealed at the top 15 after filling by a single fourply seam. The bag is contained in a rigid fibreboard outer container, Fig. 8, provided with perforations 26, 27 permitting a part of the top flaps, that are sealed together after insertion of the filled bag, to be lifted up to give access to a corner of the bag which is then cut off to form a pouring spout. The fibreboard container may have metal edges. The bag may be formed from a tube or from sheet material folded to tubular form and sealed with a longitudinal seam.
