Classes 39(2) and 75(3) [Also in Group XXXVI] A light fitting comprises a plurality of electric lamp bulbs each of approximately frusto-conical shape, the end faces of which may be domed, the neck of each bulb projecting through an opening in a housing or masking element for the bulb holders so that the plane of the greatest or smallest diameter of the bulb coincides with the plane of the opening. Fig. 2, shows a wall fitting having three bulbs 1, the bases of which are mounted in holders 9 carried by a mounting plate 11. A cover plate 6 is supported on the plate 11 by screws 12 and spacers 13 so that the necks 4 of the bulbs coincide with holes D, E, F, in the plate 6. Terminals 10 for connection to the bulbs are mounted in the holders 9. In a modification, the bulbs 2, Fig. 4, are mounted in holders 9 with terminals 10 mounted in these. The holders 9 are carried by plates 16 on the vertical wall 17 of a housing 7, the bulbs projecting through the front inclined wall of the housing. The housing 7 is suspended from a ceiling plate by cords 19 attached to rings 18 on the wall 17.
