[Also in Groups XVII and XXII] A dust bin has a body a to the lower part of which an upwardly-facing cupshaped member b is secured in extension thereof by a lap joint a<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>1</SP>, a hoop or tube c being driven on to the said lower part to protrude below it, the upper part thereof being then swaged or rolled or similarly treated to give two or more double-thickness corrugations to secure the hoop to the bin with its lower part covering the lap joint. A corrugation c<SP>1</SP> may engage the lap joint a<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>1</SP> and the lower extremity of the hoop c may have a supporting foot c<SP>2</SP>.
