Class 52(3) A table is constructed in two mutually sliding sections 1, 2 each carrying one pair of legs 3, 4 and at least one section 1 has a third leg 8 arranged in the medial plane. On removing leaves 7, leaves 1 and 2 can be abutted and legs 4 moved towards leg 8. Runners 5 and 6 have an interconnecting fillet and cross-members 14 and 15 to prevent them from being separated. A locking bolt 11 may be fitted in either the extended or reduced position. Leaves 7 are hinged at 10 and secured by pegs 12. When folded they may be stored on rods 9 beneath leaf 1. Leg 8 may be foldable. A form in which a further central leg is provided at the ends of runners 6 is referred to.
