890,867. Venetian blinds. FABERS FABRIKER A/S, CHR. June 13, 1960 [June 19, 1959], No. 20745/60. Class 20(3) Mechanism for automatically blocking a lifting roller for a lifting band in a Venetian blind when the blind reaches the floor or the lifting band tension is otherwise slackened, comprises a roller 6 round which the band 8 is wound and a blocking member 14 which is radially displaceable in an aperture 22 in the surface of the roller. An aperture 26 in the plate 2 is provided with a step 28 against which a stop 24 on the blocking member 14 may catch if it drops into a lower position due to slackening of the lifting tape (Fig. 3). Tensioning the tape holds the stop 24 out of engagement with the step 28.
