[Also in Group XVIII] Liquid dispensing apparatus includes a displacement meter, a numeral wheel counter manually settable to show the quantity of liquid to be dispensed and driven by the meter to zero, a valve opened manually and closed automatically on the return of the counter to zero and a clutch to disengage the counter drive, the valve being held open by means including a plurality of latch members each co-operating with an abutment associated with a different one of the counter wheels and moved to release the latch member by return of the associated counter wheel to zero, only the latch member co-operating with the highest order wheel which is displaced from zero at any given time being engaged with its abutment. The description is identical with that of Specifications 890,663 and 890,664, but the claims differ.
