Class 142(4) The tendency of a woven belt to twist or run to one side of the pulley is obviated by using warp ends consisting of an even number of equally but oppositely twisted yarns lying side-by-side, for example S-twist and Z-twist singles, SZ and ZS plied, or SZS and ZSZ cabled. The weft may be similar, for example four S-twist singles alongside four Z-twist singles. Before weaving, the composite yarns may be impregnated with rubber so that the constituent yarns adhere together. In a belt woven endless, the helical disposition of the continuous warp may be balanced by choosing a weft of suitable twist.
